CIRCULAR ECONOMY HUBS
Commissioned by the Austrian Environment Agency, start March 2026
In this three-year project, ÖGUT, Climate Lab (Impact Hub Vienna) and Thinkubator support the creation of Circular Economy Hubs in Armenia and Moldova - from the first vision to scaling up innovative pilot projects.
The project is part of EU4Green Recovery East (Component 1: Recovery through a Circular Economy and Pollution Reduction), which accompanies Eastern Partnership countries on their way to a greener, more resilient economy.

Overall objective
Support organisations in Armenia and Moldova in building CE Hubs that become lasting engines for cooperation, projects and circular innovation.

- Developing the hubs' strategies and work plans
- Building education programmes for the hubs and their communities
- Accompanying and supporting pilot projects
- Setting up a regional knowledge platform for cross-border exchange

PARTNERS IN AUSTRIA, MOLDOVA AND ARMENIA
Led by ÖGUT, Austrian partners work with selected organisations in Armenia and Moldova to build national Circular Economy Hubs.

ÖGUT
ÖGUT is an independent non-profit that has been working for more than 40 years, with a wide range of topics and services, towards a sustainable orientation of business and society. As consortium lead, it is responsible for managing the CE Hubs project, building relevant capacities, and for knowledge transfer and networking.

Climate Lab
Climate Lab drives the sustainable economic transition in Austria. With its projects, co-working offer and event space, Climate Lab is partner and home for start-ups, companies and people who want to be part of the sustainable transformation. Within CE Hubs, Climate Lab supports the carefully selected organisations in Armenia and Moldova - tailored to their specific needs - in building national circular economy hubs. Its experts draw on the experience of setting up Climate Lab and on the expertise of the Impact Hub network.
